Drawn for dchan, the current winner of the Shine Cameo Challenge, who requested Integra in fencing gear: "For some reason, fencing gear always makes anime characters look sexier--perhaps it's because all the white draws the focus to the character's figure? Also, fencing seems like something Integra would do."

There's fencing in Revolutionary Girl Utena, and it looks awfully cool, but it's so technically innacurate that it gets under the skin of actual fencers. I just did a standing pose. On the other hand, my attempt at foreshortening makes the darned foil look like a sword.

Featuring colored lineart and outside-the-lines hair, for extra pretty.

Awesome. Very, very awesome. I wont CC 'cause this is a contest gift art, but I like the arm folds and the hair coloring. The overall stance is nice, too.

x3 We're doing Fencing in PE class, so, yeah. It's lots of fun!

I've always had a severe fetish for fencing gear. In real life too, I mean. I'm a swordfighter (fencing and kendo) and I've always thought it made me look MUCH better. There was this scene in Gankutsuou with The Count fencing.

Anyway. The pose is great and very reflective of what fencing traditionally looks like. I love the hair, it's flowing and well-painted.

Though I personally would think Integral would use an Eppe, not a Foil. XD

hahaha... fencing. I used to do fencing. My instructor said that I was too aggressive for the sport. Ah well, they misspelled my name anyways.

As one of the fencers who twitches at the SKU fencing scenes as you mentioned I find this to be very nicely done. I mean verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry nice. *goes off to a corner to drool over Integra in fencing gear* ^.^

Well, if a fetishist thinks it looks traditional, I shouldn't worry about it ^_^

I know there are three types of fencing, but don't know the distinctions off the top of my head. Either way, I think if Integra had the choice, she would toss out the fencing equipment altogether and go for a real sword ^_~
