Drawn for dchan, the current winner of the Shine Cameo Challenge, who requested Integra in fencing gear: "For some reason, fencing gear always makes anime characters look sexier--perhaps it's because all the white draws the focus to the character's figure? Also, fencing seems like something Integra would do."
There's fencing in Revolutionary Girl Utena, and it looks awfully cool, but it's so technically innacurate that it gets under the skin of actual fencers. I just did a standing pose. On the other hand, my attempt at foreshortening makes the darned foil look like a sword. Featuring colored lineart and outside-the-lines hair, for extra pretty. |

Anyway. The pose is great and very reflective of what fencing traditionally looks like. I love the hair, it's flowing and well-painted.
Though I personally would think Integral would use an Eppe, not a Foil. XD

How can I believe in destiny, when I strive so hard to be in control?
I know there are three types of fencing, but don't know the distinctions off the top of my head. Either way, I think if Integra had the choice, she would toss out the fencing equipment altogether and go for a real sword ^_~
