Mma Grace Makutsi and Mma Precious Ramotswe, the best female detectives in all of Botswana. (Of course, they're also the first female detectives in all of Botswana. But that doesn't mean they aren't magnificent at it.)

Mma Ramotswe is the leader, observant as a Holmes and with creativity to match, though she solves cases not out of pure intellectual curiosity but a fierce dedication to helping the people of her country. Mma Makutsi got the highest-ever score at the Botswana Secretarial College, and comes with a knot of pride and stubbornness tied as tightly as her hair.

And they are totally gay for each other. No, don't bring up their canon love interests. My fangirl heart will not be swayed.

This is so beautiful I love the way you do their expressions. Even without knowing the books, something in this really captures my attention and seems almost fairytale like to me, even though it's a very realistic picture. I might just have to pick it up some time!
