How Jon found out about happy!Stephen's sexuality...on their third date.
(It isn't that Stephen was deliberately keeping it a secret; he just sort of tends to forget that for some people sexuality extends beyond the big end-of-the-Disney-movie kiss.)
............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ the last one made me feel so akward.
Cuddling and no sexual desire? ... Holy fudge nutters! That's how I feel... God Dang it. It weird to this kind of revelation through the internet instead of in real life... *whines and hides under desk for a bit*

I don't have to be crazy to run. The voices in my head just tell me to do it.
I hear good things about the asexuality.org forums, if you want someone to talk about it with. Generally speaking, though...you like what you like. Nothing wrong with that
Thanks. But I'm not sure if there is anything to talk about though. It's just I thought I always had a major dose of cootie fears by the time I got into high school. I just thought it's kind of a relief to know a name of how I feel now...

I love you. Just want you to know. The world needs more asexual comics, I think. I appreciated that happy!Stephen is dressed a little less Mr. Rogers in this comic ...
Question- is happy!Stephen happy because he doesn't have sexual urges to suppress?
Thank you! And if you want more asexual fandom-type stuff, I have a community to recommend: [link]
It isn't quite that simple. I mean, there are plenty of sexual people who are comfortable with their urges, and plenty of asexual people who aren't comfortable. If regular!Stephen were asexual, he would probably be convinced he was "broken" in some way, and be too terrified to talk about it. The key thing here isn't that happy!Stephen is ace, but that he doesn't feel insecure about it. He's also doesn't worry about how people see him -- most people just assume he's gay, and he never bothers to correct them (until something like this comes up).
Wasn't sure, since Stephen's sexuality is the source of much angst in much of your stuff (I became addicted yesterday and stayed up extra late reading some of your fanfiction XP ), so I saw it as a possible reasoning ... I think a lot of the stuff I've seen with declared asexual characters portrays them as quite content, while the sexual characters have much more drama, angst, etc. That's why I was wondering. But yes, it definitely makes sense that "regular"Stephen (you mean Conservative Stephen when you say "regular!Stephen," right? Gah, the layers of character, they done confused me) would be very upset to be A... Actually that would make a pretty hilarious AU too, considering the sexual image he often projects of himself... XD
His sexuality is a source of much angst in the canon - I'm just riffing on that (And thank you!)
I know a few asexual people with some pretty dramatic things in their lives, so that can't be the only factor ^_^;
Yeah, I was talking about the conservative character. And, yes, I think you could write a believable AU in which he's ace - and even his "closeted gay guy" schtick is just a complicated smokescreen to keep people from guessing the truth, because at least with homosexuality there are retreats aimed at curing it...
Well, there's sex specialists who are just horrified (which though a little disturbing is also hilarious) and want to cure this clearly very harmful psychological state. But I guess most of those with much attention to spare for asexuals probably aren't conservative Catholics, since that focus is so homed in on others.
...
